Belinda Chapman

Belinda is a research microbiologist with extensive experience in applied microbiology across the food, health, environmental and agricultural sectors.

Belinda is Airandé’s Principal Scientific Adviser and leads the ongoing development of Airandé’s research and scientific strategy. She is passionate about leveraging knowledge of mechanisms of microbial cell inactivation into the development of improved inactivation technologies. To accomplish this she is equally passionate about building multi-disciplinary research collaborations that contribute a rich knowledge and skills base to Airandé’s development endeavours.

During her career Belinda has worked across industry, academia and government, including with Arnott’s, Sanitarium, Macquarie University, The Sydney Catchment Authority, The Westmead Millennium Institute for Medical Research, KPMG and the CSIRO. She is also currently Managing Director of Quantal Bioscience. Her broad R&D experience provides her with novel insights that she transfers among industries to deliver innovation.

Belinda received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Sydney, her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Tasmania and her Graduate Diploma in Science Management from the University of Technology, Sydney.
